AK BrandStore Warranty Terms & Conditions

At AK BrandStore, we strive to provide reliable products and excellent service. Our warranty terms comply with Mauritius Consumer Protection Law, ensuring fairness in all transactions.

1. Warranty Period

Eligible products are covered by a limited warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

2. Coverage

The warranty covers only manufacturing defects due to poor workmanship or defective materials. Under this warranty, AK BrandStore may:

  • Repair the product,
  • Replace it with the same or a similar model, or
  • Offer a refund, depending on the product’s condition and duration of use. Refunds will be calculated based on the product's usage period, with a deduction proportional to the time used.

3. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage: Breakage, cracks, or dents due to mishandling, drops, or accidents.
  • Electrical issues: Faults caused by power surges, voltage fluctuations, or improper electrical connections.
  • Improper use: Failure to adhere to the user manual or using the product in unintended ways.
  • Wear and tear: Normal aging of parts due to regular use.
  • Misuse or negligence: Lack of proper care and maintenance as advised by the manufacturer.
  • Consumables: Batteries, cables, or other accessories subject to regular wear and tear.

4. Warranty Claim Procedure

To make a warranty claim:

  • Provide the original receipt/invoice as proof of purchase.
  • We maintain a record of each purchase, including the date and details of the purchaser. The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.
  • Our technical team will inspect the product to confirm if the issue is covered under the warranty.
  • If eligible, we will proceed with a repair, replacement, or refund based on the product’s condition. For refunds, a deduction may apply based on product usage.

5. Important Notes

  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications will void the warranty.
  • If the product is non-defective or the issue results from improper usage, a service fee may apply.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be issued after deducting a reasonable amount based on product usage and depreciation.
  • The warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages beyond the product’s purchase price.
  • After the warranty period, repairs may not be possible due to high costs, which may exceed the cost of purchasing a new product.

  • The duration of repairs will depend on the nature of the issue. If parts need to be ordered from abroad, repairs may take approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Please note that no temporary equipment will be provided during the repair period.
